SMI Welcomes PartsSource® as a New Member

Kingston, MA (August 27, 2024) ─ SMI®, a non-profit, member-driven community of healthcare supply chain organizations, celebrated four organizations that achieved the milestone of 10 years of membership at the SMI Spring 2024 Forum in Atlanta. KARL STORZ, LeeSar, Siemens, and UAB Medicine were honored in front of over 200 SMI members and invited guests. SMI members meet twice annually at Forums to discuss industry challenges, share learnings and best practices, and work side-by-side to create solutions and resources.


During the past decade, these four organizations have worked as part of the SMI community to move the healthcare supply chain industry forward with transformational change. SMI members continue to show their commitment to improving healthcare delivery by participating in Thought Leadership Councils to increase resilience, foster transparency, and build trust among trading partners. Jane Pleasants, Executive Director of SMI, said, “I want to personally thank KARL STORZ, LeeSar, Siemens, and UAB Medicine for their support and executive leadership within SMI.”

In Atlanta, SMI also announced new members: Baptist Health South Florida (Coral Gables, FL), Boston Medical Center (Boston, MA), Clarium Health (New York, NY), Community Health Network (Fishers, IN), DeRoyal (Powell, TN), Duke Health (Durham, NC), HANDLE Global (Prospect, KY), McLeod Health (Florence, SC), PartsSource (Cleveland, OH), Procter & Gamble (Cincinnati, OH), OSF HealthCare (Peoria, IL), SHARP HealthCare (San Diego, CA), TRIMEDX (Indianapolis, IN), and UT Southwestern Medical Center (Dallas, TX). These members have now joined SMI’s lean yet influential membership. Ryan Koos, Chief Supply Chain Officer at SHARP Healthcare said, “I am honored to be part of this distinguished group of leaders.
