CLEVELAND, May 18, 2020 – Hospitals across the country have pulled extra ventilators out of storage to help coronavirus patients breathe, only to discover that many of the machines lack essentials such as power cords, oxygen sensors or filters.
“That’s when our phone rings,” said Dave Brennan, chief product officer for Aurora-based PartsSource, a tech-based healthcare service company that provides equipment, parts and preventative maintenance to about 3,000 hospitals in the United States.
The company works with global suppliers to ensure that medical equipment such as ventilators and infusion pumps are ready when needed, and its services are in high demand during the COVID-19 crisis.
